The device that keeps Kauê at home
I’m Priscila, mother of Kauê (14). He has SMA type 2, which weakened his muscles to the point that he can no longer cough on his own. This causes secretions to build up in his lungs, which already led him to spend 36 days hospitalized with severe pneumonia. 💔
Today, he breathes thanks to the Cough Assist, a rented device that simulates a cough. The situation is desperate: we need to return it soon.
